these rolls are perfection! they are light and fluffy and has that wonderful yeasty aroma of bread baking. there are instructions for both the traditional kneading and using the bread machine technique. the cloverleaf pattern looks so elegant and yet is so easy to shape that even your small kids could help. to get a tender soft top, brush tops of bread with butter as soon as it comes out of the oven. note that bread coming out of the oven has a harder crust that when it cools. to soften the crust even more, cover bread lightly with a clean tea towel as it cools.

💬 Reviews (Tonight I made buffalo wings for the first time. I used a party wing package from the store and followed the directions. The chicken was a little overdone at the end, but still absolutely wonderful! Next time I will reduce my broiling time by a few minutes. Otherwise this was everything I could have hoped for. I should note that I used my own sauce from a Buffalo Wing place that I love. It was like I was eating THEIR wings! Totally awesome.)

Friday night is pizza and wings night at our house and these are on the menu for tonight. I'm also going to try this cooking method for making bbq wings. Thanks for sharing a keeper!)

this makes a very large sauce and is freezable. the longer you simmer the better the sauce tastes. you can also cook meatballs in a 400* oven for about 20 minutes.

💬 Reviews (These are the best wings I have ever had - thank you for sharing this recipe! I followed the recipe exactly except I used butter instead of margarine, and I doubled the amount of butter used. I used Frank's red hot sauce and it worked perfectly! Best wings ever at 1/3 of the price of delivery. Great!)

👩 description

these yummy meatballs are made with a mixture of beef and italian sausage. they are placed in a baking dish, smothered in tomato sauce, topped with grated romano cheese and baked in a hot oven. this saves the step of browning them on top of the stove and the sauce is wonderfully seasoned with the meatball juices and romano cheese.

💬 Reviews (Really good. Only change is that next time I'll try baking them on 400 and then crisping on broiler setting if needed. I put them in the top 1/3 of the oven on broil for 15 minutes, and they were dried out and a little too crispy. Great idea to boil first. Will make again -- they were yummy!)

sometimes it is necessary for the mouse to outsmart the cat. my husband will not get near meatloaf due to childhood culinary trauma. i adore meatloaf and with a bit of tweaking to my favorite recipe and shaping them into meatballs, we both are happy. but, he still does not know it is meatloaf. i use leftovers to make meatball subs.

💬 Reviews (5 stars!!! Delicious and so easy to make. Thanks for posting!)

old fashioned molasses caramel corn

pre-heat oven to 250 deg', 'place butter in a medium pot , on medium heat', while the butter's melting , pop the corn and put it in a large roasting pan, 'i used a disposable aluminum pan and a hot air popper', 'keep an eye on the butter and add the sugar , molasses , and salt to it as soon as its melted', 'bring the candy to a boil and stir and cook it only till the sugar melts and the butter blends in entirely - just a couple minutes', 'turn off the heat and stir the vanilla and peanuts into the candy', quickly add the baking soda and stir untill it's well mixed, 'it foams to make a lighter , more delicate candy', pour the candy over the popcorn and toss untill it's evenly coated, 'put the popcorn in the oven for 1 hour , tossing every 15 or 20 minutes', 'let it cool completely before breaking up and putting into an airtight container', i developed this recipe by hacking others because i couldn't find another to suit me, i made this for christmas treats and it was inhaled , you'll find it tastes like cracker jack, 'that candy is made with molasses , not corn syrup , i got a box yersterday to compare', 'you can easily double this , but double the baking time too'

👩 description

back in the day, down south, cooks didn't have corn syrup on their shelves, they had sorghum molasses as it was cheaply and locally produced. it's an old fashioned taste i love and candy made w/ molasses is far more flavorful than candy made w/ corn syrup. my granny cooked her candy till 'hard crack' on the stovetop and poured it over the corn, but doing it that way takes a lot more babysitting and using this method you won't burn or undercook it because it hardens in the oven.

💬 Reviews (These are very easy and simple to make. It almost takes the guilt out of eating wings! Great for football viewing, too! Thanks for sharing.)
