💬 Reviews (I really enjoyed this recipe. Golumbki is one of my favorite things that my mother-in-law makes so I was excited to try this. I followed the advice of some of the reviews. I browned the meat with some onions, garlic, salt, and pepper. I also added two cans of tomato soup with half a cup of water on top as sauce. Also, I used diced tomatoes instead of tomato sauce. It turned out great! My slow cooker is actually a fast cooker because it was done in 4 hours on low.')

Swedish Cardamom Meatballs
🍴 Ingredients
- bread crumbs milk ground beef ground pork egg chopped yellow onion salt and pepper to taste ground cardamom butter sliced yellow onions sugar salt and pepper to taste beef broth heavy cream dry gravy maker mix monosodium glutamate (MSG) ground nutmeg ground allspice ground cinnamon ground cloves cornstarch water
👩🍳 Directions
Prep 30 m Cook 1 h Ready In 1 h 30 m In large mixing bowl, soak bread crumbs in milk for 5 minutes. Mix in meat, eggs, and chopped onions. Season with cardamom and salt and pepper to taste. Roll into 1 to 1 1/2 inch meatballs. Saute meatballs in 1/4 cup butter for approximately 20 minutes. In a separate skillet, saute sliced onions with 1/4 cup butter and sugar until caramelized, about 10 to 15 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Remove mixtures (the meatballs and the onions) from both pans, and place on separate plates. Deglaze both saute pans with the remaining 1/2 cup butter and beef broth, scraping up the browned bits. Cook over high heat for 1 minute. Place the contents of both saute pans into one large pot, and stir in the cream and onions. Season with gravy maker seasoning, monosodium glutamate, nutmeg, allspice, cinnamon, and cloves. Bring to a simmer. Make a slurry with cornstarch and water; whisk the slurry into the cream sauce. Add meatballs, and simmer approximately 20 to 30 minutes
💬 Reviews (Good meatball, but needs much less nutmeg. When I made them without nutmeg they were gobbled up by all!')

Black Bean and Corn Pasta with Chicken

👩🍳 Directions
Prep 5 m Cook 15 m Ready In 20 m Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain. In a large skillet over low heat, cook corn and black beans, 2 minutes. Stir in the tomatoes, reserving their juice. Season with salt and pepper, and cook 2 minutes more. Pour in enough tomato juice to cover and season with hot pepper sauce and Worcestershire. Increase heat slightly, stir in chicken, and heat through, 3 to 5 minutes. Spoon over cooked pasta
💬 Reviews (This was good! I also added a few things -- chopped green onions, garlic, some julienned yellow and red peppers, about 5 shakes of both hot sauce and Worcestershire sauce. Used frozen corn but fresh tomatoes and beans. Added about a cup of tomato juice. I let everything cook a little longer than listed because the juice made it a little soupy and I wanted it to cook down and blend a little. I expect it will be better tomorrow!')
