ginger garlic chicken wings

🍳 Directions

preheat oven to 400 degrees f', 'place the chicken wings in a large mixing bowl , and season generously with pepper', 'add hot sauce and vegetable oil , and toss with tongs to coat evenly', 'add the flour , cormeal , parmesan and celery salt to a large plastic bag , add the wings and shake thoroughly', 'cover two half-sheet pans with foil , and spray well with the non-stick spray', 'distribute the chicken wings evenly on the pans', 'bake for 20 minutes , turn the chicken wings over , and bake for another 20 minutes , or until browned and crusty and cooked thoroughly', 'while the chicken wings are baking , add the glaze ingredients to a saucepan , and bring to a boil over medium heat', 'turn off and reserve', 'when the chicken wings are done , transfer into a clean bowl while still hot , and pour over the glaze', 'toss until all the chicken wings are coated well , and transfer onto a serving platter'

i found this recipe a while back at americanfood.about.com and really enjoyed it. it is very tasty and crispy. i freeze the wing tips for future use for making chicken broth.

combine the cornstarch and a little of the stock and stir until smooth , add the remaining stock , soy and sugar', 'heat a wok over high heat and add a tablespoon of oil , swirling it around to coat the wok', 'stir-fry the ginger , garlic onion and prawns over high heat for 5 minutes , or until the prawns turn pink and are cooked through', 'remove from the wok', 'reheat the wok , add the remaining tablespoon of oil and stir-fry the carrot , celery , snow peas and beans for 3-4 minutes', 'pour the stir-fry sauce into the wok , and stir until the sauce boils and thickens', 'return the prawns to the wok and stir for 1-2 minutes to re-heat through', 'serve on a bed of watercress with the peanuts sprinkled over'

this is called a salad, and it's good, but it's more like a stir-fry served over greens. i'm posting it for daydream who is looking for prawn and salad type appetisers for christmas.

in the work bowl of a blender or food processor , combine all the ingredients except the fish', 'blend until a fine paste is formed', 'scrape into a bowl', 'add the salmon steaks and mix well to coat the steaks on both sides', 'cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours', 'heat the barbecue or broiler to high', 'place the salmon steaks on the grill or 4 inches away from the broiler element and grill 3-4 minutes on each side for medium , brushing with the marinade', 'serve immediately'

salmon is the best! especially when you kick it up a few notches with jalapenos, ginger, and garlic!! if you'd like yours to be spicer, just leave some of the seeds in the jalapenos. marinating time not included in cooking time. this is great with a side of asparagus. got this recipe and tweaked it quite a bit from grouprecipes website.

💬 Reviews (We eat this all the time, but use only Indian basmati rice. It should be made with brown lentils to be Palestinian. It is the most basic meal and super inexpensive and just delicious! True arabic comfort food; and healthy to boot! I have found that it sometimes needs to be cooked longer when you don't soak the lentils but you can just add a little more water and cook until it dries up. You can take the lid of the pot at the end if it's still too watery when the lentils are done. Serving it with yogurt or a tomato salad like #202576 is a must! I also make extra onions and serve half mixed in with the rice and half on top. Then set the yogurt and tomato salad out as side dishes or toppings. This is a great dish!)
