💬 Reviews (Update, on March 10, 08, I made these again as a full recipe, this time adding slivered almonds (didn't have chopped), a handful of sweetened flaked coconut, 1/4 cup of smooth peanut butter, along with just under a cup of semi-sweet choc chips. This was really sticky to spread, so it was ugly in the pan but I got it pretty even and it baked perfectly in 25 mins with just a bit of well-done edges. Oh yeah, and I ran out of old-fashioned oats so used quick-cooking. Still chewy even the next day, with a bit of crunch on the edges and from the almonds (almonds lent a nice toastiness). Bf snagged a bite and he thought they were pretty good. Guess I'm keeping these to myself again! :D OOooh, I'm so hooked. I only had enough ingreds for a half batch, and I also didn't think anyone but me would be eating these, and maybe I will be the only one eating 'em. I made these for breakfast. Honestly they turned out more like a bar cookie than a granola bar, but oh my are they wonderful. I followed the suggestions of other reviewers and left out the white sugar. I used the miniumum amount of margarine and I used Smart Balance with Flaxseed Oil Spread, and Eggbeaters (which was easy to halve lol - 1/8 cup instead of 1/4 cup). I used an 8in. square baking pan sprayed with Pam. I cooled this for about 30mins. Btw, this smells wonderful while baking. I baked for 20 mins which was perfect. I felt like a chocolate chip purist, so I left out the raisins. I didn't have any almonds. I'm very pleased with just the chocolate chips, to be honest. :D Thank you, Manda, I really enjoyed this!)

cut meat into small bite size cubes and place in ziploc bags', 'pour catalina dressing over meat and refrigerate overnight', 'cut vegetables into small bite-size pieces and place in a ziploc bag about 5-6 cups', 'pour the italian dressing over vegetables and refrigerate overnight', 'you can also soak the bamboo skewers overnight to prevent them from burning', 'the next day , place meat and vegetables onto skewers , alternating colors for appeal', 'be sure sure to start and end with meat to prevent everything from slipping off during grilling', 'i usually use 3-4 pieces of meat per skewer and lots of veggies', 'barbecue over medium heat for approx 10-15 minutes or until done', 'serve with your favorite salad and enjoy !'

easy competition quality babyback ribs

    baby back ribs', 'brown sugar', 'barbecue sauce', 'butter', 'water'

remove membrane from ribs', 'wipe ribs with papertowels to remove excess moisture', 'rub butter onto both sides of ribs', 'rub until butter doesnt slide off easily', 'sprinkle the sweet & smoky spice onto both sides of ribs until completely and generously covered', 'take 2 pieces of foil approximately 6in longer than the ribs and fold / crease the long edges together', 'place the foil in a roasting pan or baking sheet that is large enough for the ribs to lay flat and not be pushed up on the sides', 'place ribs meat side up in foil and pull up edges leaving a small opening at the top', 'pour water into foil around the ribs but not on the ribs and then seal top of foil so as to leave room between the ribs and the top of the foil', 'bake at 300 degrees for 3 hours open top of foil and brush bbq sauce onto ribs and cook 20 more minutes with foil open', 'remove from oven and top with extra bbq sauce to taste'

you dont have to use a smoker or scratch ingredients to get competition quality babyback ribs. a pre-packaged rub & sauce, your oven and this recipe and you wont find better ribs. the butter is the magic ingredient and the water is the key to keeping the ribs moist and juicy. my son is a rib connoisseur and he eat's babyback ribs at every restaurant he can and he say's these are the best he's ever had. this my own recipe.

easy cooked salsa

in a large pot , heat the oil and add the jalapenos , sweet peppers , garlic and onion', 'saut until everything is soft but not browned', 'add the tomatoes and cook until the tomatoes are quite soft and starting to pack down in the pot , about 5 minutes', 'add the remaining ingredients and cook for about 10 minutes more to give the flavours a chance to mix together and the water to boil off', 'when the salsa is as thick as you like it , add salt to taste if needed and let stand for at least one minute', 'stir well before serving'

i've experimented with a lot of salsa recipes and this is, by far, my favourite. it doesn't take too long to make (especially if you have a food processor to do the chopping) and is just right for spice -- a little kick but not so much that your tongue falls off!

💬 Reviews (This is more like a cookie bar, but YUMMY nonetheless. Soooo chewy and so easy to make. I omitted the almonds and cinnamon, upped the vanilla to 1tsp, used corn syrup in place of honey cuz that's what i had and used butterscotch chips and a handful of coconut. Next time i will omit the white sugar as well and up the oats and rice krispies.)
