i love to try something different and this salad is one recipe that i am very fond of. looks great on a buffet or your holiday dinner table. it is not for everyone but try it you just may love it. do in advance and put in fridge do not put the dressing on until serving and i recommend that you serve it on the side

💬 Reviews (This is really a no-fail, easy, sure to please everyone recipe. I made this a week ahead of time, froze it and then let it defrost the night before on the counter, still wrapped in plastic wrap and foil. The cake remained moist when served. I made chocolate covered strawberries and heaped them in the middle of the cake and placed some surrounding the cake. It was a very beautiful cake.)

do not remember where this came from, but it's really good. this is easily doubled and baked in a 13x9 pan.

💬 Reviews (at the last minute i found out we were having extra dinner guests. i was able to whip this together, throw it in the oven and have it ready for dessert. i cooked this in a bundt pan, it took exactly 45 minutes to bake, looked beautiful, tasted great! i sprinkled this with confectioners sugar and put fresh raspberries and blackberries in the center.)

💬 Reviews (Well, I am a bit torn about this recipe. I baked it the required 45 minutes with an additional 20 minutes and yet, it still did not seem quite done. It also had bits of cream cheese speckled throughout the cake even though I beat longer than required and my cream cheese was softened. It was truly moist and delish, but not so pretty when it feel into three pieces coming out of my tube pan. Who knows what happened. I guess you can have bad cake days as well as hair days. I think this one deserves a second chance on my part. Thanks!)

Instead of dusting it with powdered sugar, I drizzled the almond glaze from the recipe for Raspberry Filled Almond Shortbread with Almond Glaze by Amy Lee #10096. I didn't have any problem with the cream cheese lunping in the batter. It could be because I mixed it with the sugar first and then added the eggs, one by one - beating after each addition. Everyone loved it and they thought that it was from scratch. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe!!)

these are one of the most popular biscuits sold commercially in britain. they are very delicate and, therefore, extremely difficult to reproduce exactly but this recipe is fairly close. the original recipe is posted, verbatim, below. however, please note that i used pillsbury plain whole wheat flour (which i sifted) and i used 4 rounded, not level, tablespoons of wheat germ. these minor modifications were made as a result of the (always) invaluable advice and information i received from fellow chefs in a recipezaar discussion forum. biscuits will be 2 1/2 inch diameter x 1/8 inch thick.
