i found this recipe in my grandmother's house. i think one of her sisters used to make this (aunt cele or aunt fanny). i am trying to compile a family cookbook and this is the recipe that i'm hearing about most. i have been updating it as i get more versions. i have seen a version for this without the egg but i think it was a mistake so i am leaving the egg in. i have also seen this without the baking powder (my grandmother's version) but i have included it here.

pour a measure of whisky into a large glass with a stem', 'warm the whisky carefully over a candle or a spirit burner and set it alight', 'let it burn for a moment , after which kahla and hot coffee without sugar should be added', 'then carefully pour in a thick layer of gently whipped cream', 'finally , add burning grand marnier from a large sauce spoon lifted high above the glass preferably in a dark room so that the blue grand marnier flame is clearly visible'

i got this recipe from the official greenland travel guide website. it was described as greenland's version of an irish coffee. it is stronger than the well-known irish dessert coffee and it is finished off with a liquid flame of grand marnier that has been set alight ?the coffee’s final ingredient.

🍳 Directions

in a large nonstick frypan , heat olive oil', 'add mushrooms , saute until browned on both sides , 5 or 6 minutes', 'wash and clean bock choys and spinach', 'cut about an inch off the root end of the bok choy and separate', 'add bok choys , spinach and red pepper to mushrooms , season with salt and pepper , add splenda', 'saute for 2 minutes , add beef stock , cover and cook another 2 minutes or just until bok choy is tender', 'uncover , add sesame oil , stir to mix', 'whisk cornstarch into water , add to greens , stir and bring to boil', 'simmer for 1 minute or til liquid thickens', 'serve hot', 'addition: i often sprinkle roasted sesame seeds , about a tablespoon , on finished dish just before serving'

greens n beans pasta with italian sausage

    pasta', 'olive oil', 'italian sausage', 'garlic cloves', 'escarole', 'chicken broth', 'cannellini beans', 'parmesan cheese'

🍳 Directions

cook pasta in boiling salted water according to package directions until al dente', 'meanwhile , in a large skillet , heat olive oil and saute sausage and garlic together until sausage is browned', 'stir in escarole and cook until wilted', 'stir in chicken broth , cover and simmer for about 10 minutes', 'add drained cooked pasta , beans and parmesan cheese to skillet and stir over low heat for about 5 minutes until juices thicken', 'serve topped with additional grated parmesan cheese'

greens fried rice

in a medium-hot wok , add oil , garlic and carrots', 'saute for 1-2 minutes or until carrots are semi-soft', 'add soy sauce and rice to wok', 'as you fry the rice , add first the peas , then spinach and then the green onion at 1-2 minute intervals', 'serve immediately'

tart, sweet apples go very nicely with tangy greens. this dish is especially nice with mustard greens or kale.

💬 Reviews (Very best CFS I've made yet! I did add seasoning salt to my gravy and steaks, but that's about the only change. Delicious, you have to try it!)
